Full-Day Banff Guided Hikes

Choose from three unique Full-Day Guided Hikes on various trails in Banff National Park!
  • Price includes experienced certified guide, transportation from and to Lake Louise (Ski Resort and local hotels) and snack.
  • Departing daily at 9:00am (custom departure times available upon request).
  • Meet with your guide at the Guest Services counter at the Lodge of Ten Peaks 30 minutes before start of the tour.
  • Hike with your interpretive guide on trail chosen to fit your expectations.

Choose Your Banff Guided Hike

Prices are the same for all full-day hike locations. Please note that that the dates available and difficulty for each hike are also indicated.

1) Taylor Lake
  • Available June 1 to September 30, 2019.
  • Advanced difficulty (6 hours - 12.6 km).

The Taylor Lake trail offers a variety of terrain and landscapes for your enjoyment. Experience the deep forest which is home to many local animals as the trail follows a babbling creek towards the Lake. As you approach the apex of the hike, the trail opens to reveal a beautiful Larch forest and stunning views of Taylor Lake. View map.

2) Sentinel Pass And Moraine Lake
  • Available July 1 to September 15, 2019.
  • Advanced difficulty (6 to 7 hours - 11.6 km).

Beginning at the magnificent Moraine Lake, the trail climbs up to the beautiful Larch Valley. From here you will enjoy the stunning views of the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Continuing along, the trail ascends to Sentinel Pass, where you’ll see the towering spires that lend the trail its name. The return trip is along the same trail. View map.

3) Plain of 6 Glaciers And Lake Louise
  • Available July 1 to September 30, 2019.
  • Moderate difficulty (6 to 7 hours - 11.6 km).

This trail begins at the famous emerald colored Lake Louise, and climbs gradually from the back of the lake. It is a classic hike in the Rockies, and the trail will be shared with hikers, and horses alike. Once above the tree line you will be rewarded with an impressive view of Lake Louise. The historic Plain of Six Glaciers Teahouse will offer a delicious surprise for the turnaround of the hike. Return journey is mostly downhill, with beautiful views above the tree line. View map.

Note: Rates shown above do not include tax (5%GST). Pricing subject to change without notice. Dates/times are subject to change as the conditions of hiking trails are weather and wildlife activity dependant. Due to the natural grade of the mountain trails, all participants of guided walks should be of moderate fitness ability. Please wear proper footwear and dress for all weather conditions. We recommend bringing sunglasses, water, snacks, jacket and a camera.

How to Book a Tour

Reservations are required at least 24 hours before Banff & Yoho National Park Tours. To make a reservation you can either book online, email us at guides@skilouise.com, or call 1-403-522-1385.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations are recommended due to limited spaces. Changes to reservations can be made based on availability. Within 24 hours of the hiking time, refunds will not be issued. There will be no refunds for extreme weather conditions or wildlife activity cancelation.
