The Season Pass Refund Program can be purchased for $40 per pass, $90 on a Family Pass, and $40 on a Child Pass. There will be NO refunds whatsoever on Season Passes unless the REFUND OPTION is PURCHASED at the time of pass purchase. The Refund Option is only valid as a result of medical conditions, supported by a doctor’s certificate, OR a transfer of employment, supported by a letter from your employer. The Refund option is not refundable. The Refund option is not available for the Corporate Pass.
The Refund option also covers VIP parking and Locker products. The refund % for parking and lockers will equal that of the ski pass.
Individual Refunds
Refund amounts are based on the following formula.
The cost of your season pass less the number of days skied (multiplied by the daily rate for the age category applicable to the pass) to a maximum of the percentage listed opposite the date of the claim.
| Date of Claim |
Refunds |
| Prior to Opening |
100% |
| Prior to December 18, 2010 |
75% |
| Prior to Feb. 1, 2011 |
50% |
| Prior to March 1, 2011 |
25% |
| After March 1, 2011 |
0% |
Example – An adult pass holder, who purchases the refund policy, skies 5 times at Lake Louise from opening until late January, but is suddenly transferred by his/her employer. If the pass holder produces a written letter from his/her employer and files the refund claim prior to February 1, they would receive the following refund.
Cost of Adult Pass - $639. 5 days skiing at x $75.95 (daily lift ticket rate) = $379.75. The difference is $259.25. The adult skier would qualify for a 50% refund on this amount. Total refund would be $129.63.
Family Pass Refunds
In the event that an individual covered by a family pass becomes injured or one of the two adults on the family pass must move outside of Alberta as a result of employment relocation, the family pass purchaser may be entitled to either a full or partial refund.
A full refund is only available in the event that no family members have used their passes whatsoever.
A partial refund will be available depending on the usages of the family. The partial refund will be calculated as follows.
At the time the Lake Louise Ski Area is notified of the refund request, all individual family passes must be returned in order to calculate the refund. The total number of usages to date will be calculated and multiplied by the regular retail lift ticket rate. This will be subtracted from the Family Pass price that was originally paid. If the difference is negative, the value of the pass will have been used and there will be no refund. The final percentage of the refund will be based on the date the claim was received. Please see above “Date of Claim” dates for these percentages.
