2013 Lake Louise Snowboard Cross World Cup
The 2013 Lake Louise Snowboard Cross World Cup is the first year for this new annual event; where we bring world class competition to the adventure capital of Canada. Showcasing the Lake Louise Ski Resort for its world class skiing & snowboarding, hosted in the Canadian Rockies with the Victoria Glacier as a backdrop we can't think of a more iconic Canadian location for these athletes to battle it out. Leading into the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics the event is crucial for the teams to prepare for Gold at the Games.
Over 20 nations will battle to take home the gold in Lake Louise against the tough Canadian National Team. The Ladies team currently boasting the reigning 2013 World Cup Champion Dominique Maltais (Petite-Rivière-St-Francois, QC) & the defending Olympic Gold medalist Maelle Ricker (Squamish, BC). The Canadian Men's team is coming into an exciting 2014 season, poised to take some hardware home at each tour stop. Chris Robanske (North Vancouver, BC) & Rob Fagan (Squamish, BC) consistently landing in the top 10 week after week are ready to take it all the way in 2014.
