Job Description:

The main role of our janitorial staff is to ensure the safe and effective sanitation of the base lodge areas and facilities. Janitorial duties will include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal and cleaning of washrooms. The janitor will be responsible for ensuring that all required tasks are completed thoroughly, on time, and with minimal supervision. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all common areas, public spaces and washrooms were serviced and cleaned daily by performing general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, correctly sanitizing benches and countertops and garbage disposal.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks mirrors and floors
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
  • Remove trash and recycling

  • Direct traffic and assist in finding parking spots/ assist in reserved parking area, RV parking area
  • Attending to customer drop-off area; greeting and assisting/directing guests

Job Description:

Will be responsible in the overall management and success of the kitchen. Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed labour, inventory & cost control targets with thorough stock management and reactive scheduling

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all bedrooms, common areas and public washrooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Liaise with Duty Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor, and notify them of areas in need of attention pertaining to repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are well stocked, and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.

Job Description:

As a key member of Lodge Management, this position is responsible for overseeing and driving the day to day operations of the Great Divide Lodge.  The duty manager is responsible for supervising staff on a daily basis, ensuring that customers are offered high quality service with professionalism and enthusiasm, providing a positive work environment for staff and ensuring that all comments and complaints are handled in a professional and timely manner.

Job Location: The position is based at the Great Divide Lodge, which is a guest hotel, located at the summit of the famous Kicking Horse Pass in Yoho National Park. Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to supervise employees; including delegating tasks, handling conflicts, training and scheduling
  • Ability to cover shifts in all sub-departments – have a strong working knowledge of all hotel operations
  • Managing and monitoring the everyday operation of the lodge
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule tasks and work assignments throughout all sub-departments, including food and beverage, housekeeping and front desk
  • Ensure positive guest experience through interaction & satisfaction
  • Ensure a positive employee experience through training, motivation & ongoing development of all employees
  • Communicate regularly with Lodge Management to ensure the overall success of the establishment

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Highly organized & detail oriented
  • Have a working knowledge of B.C. Liquor Control Board regulations concerning the service of alcohol
  • Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • 3-5 years experience in the hotel industry – experience in front desk and housekeeping especially sought after
  • Formal training/education in Hospitality or Hotel Management is considered a strong asset
  • Experience using Room Master and Maitre’D software an asset
  • Computer literacy, proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is necessary
  • Serving it Right Certification an asset – must be obtain within 30 days of commencing employment
  • Ability to follow all LLSR policies and procedures
  • A three month probationary period applies

Job Description:

The Bartender will be responsible for providing consistently high-levels of customer service to all outlet guests by ensuring prompt service, accurate orders, and a strong working knowledge of all bar menu items and daily specials. The bartender shall perform these duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensure that each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. Other responsibilities will include the daily set up and pack down of bar, ensuring accurate stock inventory, assisting with cleaning duties, accurate daily cash outs and complying with AGLC legislation.

Job Description:

A sushi cook will  have a working knowledge of Sushi and Japanese food including Sushi rice, fish and other Seafood preparation, Maki, Nigiri and Sashimi style sushi including presentation as well as an  understanding of Ramen and other soups, stocks and sauces used in sushi and Japanese restaurants .

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follows all applicable AHS & OSHA Procedures at all times. Ensures all food is prepared in a sanitary manner and ensure at all time their stations are kept clean
  • Ensures food quality and presentation meets LLSR Culinary Department standards prior to being served.
  • Abides by all sanitation policies and communicates with supervisors when equipment not functioning properly, if assistance is needed or food pars are low or out.
  • Must know specifically all menu items and ingredients for their outlet.
  • Clean food spillage at their work station, including the floors and equipment.
  • Prepare fresh herbs, garnishes and spices for use in the restaurant - Discard spoiled food
