Job Description:

The Retail Attendant is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to customers.  A keen interest in product merchandising and customer service is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer service and sales including cash register operation and balancing
  • Product merchandising and display including coordinating fashion apparel
  • Assist in receiving, pricing and stocking of retail products
  • Inventory stock taking and control
  • Regularly communicate with your peers & supervisors to ensure the overall success of the department
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Position:                                Front Office Agent – The Great Divide Lodge

Rate Of Pay:                          $14.98 / hour

Job Description:

Will responsible for a wide variety of administrative office duties in support of the operation of The Great Divide Lodge. Such duties include but are not limited to guest and employee check in/checkout procedures, registering guests, updating/maintaining employee related files, taking payments, ensuring each employee adheres to the LLSR housing agreement and serving in the bar/restaurant when help is needed. The Front Desk Agent must strive to provide exceptional customer service and a positive guest and employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure positive guest experience through interaction & satisfaction and resolve guest issues within scope of authority
  • Perform check-in/check-out procedures in an efficient and timely manner
  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from customers
  • Provide quotes for room rates and up sell where possible
  • Make reservationsand liaise with third party booking agents
  • Keep an inventory of rooms reservations and room assignments
  • Verify correct room charges and collect payment
  • Regularly communicate with Duty Manager to ensure the overall success of the department
  • Concierge duties, when needed 
  • Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations.
  • Ensure all cash is balanced and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift (at Front desk or in the Bar/Restaurant)
  • Assist other departments within the GD Lodge as required.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with other departments effectively within GDL and the Lake Louise Ski Resort

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude coupled with a friendly, polite and professional manner
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
  • Must be able to work night shifts and work independently with minimal supervision
  • High level of sound and independent judgement, reasoning, and discretion
  • Experience using Switchboard and the booking system RoomMaster is an asset
  • Possesses a strong working knowledge of the hospitality industry, with experience using Electronic POS an asset
  • Cash handing experience is preferred
  • Serving It Right certification required - must be obtained within 30 days of commencing employment.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • First Aid certificate an asset
  • Strong written and verbal English with a second language considered an asset

Work Schedule:

Summer Shuttle Bus Driver - posted June 5th 2018

Job Description:

The shuttle driver is responsible for transporting both guests and staff to the ski hill in the company’s 21-seater bus. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background and solid driving experience. The shuttle driver will be also be required to record daily mileage, ensure that the LLSR vehicles are in good working condition, provide friendly and engaging service and apply defensive driving techniques to uphold the safety of all passengers. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of company vehicle(s) adhering to the transportation policy
  • Timely and safe transportation of guests and staff
  • Accurate, timely, and organized processing of paperwork, vehicle check logs
  • Keep a clean & organized vehicle – includes daily cleaning of bus

Job Description:

The Snowmaking Maintenance Helpers will assist with the day to day maintenance requirements of the department. Will be responsible for recovering, repairing and maintaining a variety of equipment and infrastructure related to our extensive snowmaking system.

Job Responsibilities:

  • General up-keep and production maintenance of the snowmaking equipment
  • Testing set-up and shut-down of snowmaking equipment
  • Transportation of snowmaking equipment
  • Comply with the tasks and projects assigned by the department Supervisor
  • Complete all manner of jobs within the timeframe allowed.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have high-level of physical fitness - hiking daily

To provide fast and effective cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishware, glassware and pots. The dishwasher is also responsible for ensuring all kitchen areas are cleaned and sanitation levels are in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.   

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of dish room as well as inventory measures
  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts
  • Practice safe handling of all chemicals
  • Monitor chemical levels and dish machine temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to maintain safe and efficient parking lot operations while providing our guests with fast access to resort facilities.  A high level of customer service is required. There is an opportunity to continue employment for the following season if successful.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct traffic and assist in finding parking spots/ assist in reserved parking area, RV parking area
  • Attending to customer drop-off area; greeting and assisting/directing guests
  • Parking lot and lodge decks to be monitored; cleaned, swept and clear of garbage as needed throughout the day
  • Stations to be checked and stocked for maps, tissues, garbage
  • Parking lot attendant keeps an eye out for lights left on, keys locked in car, vehicle maintenance problems, assists guests in getting help
  • At end of day assist in vacating parking lots, checking lots for garbage, remove and put away necessary signage

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to smile and have fun while accomplishing all required tasks is essential!
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions

Qualifications:

Job Description:

Qualified candidates will have a working knowledge of standard kitchen equipment and its uses. A working knowledge of stocks, sauces, butchering & standard cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, poaching, smoking and any other cooking medium needed to execute all types of cuisine. A general knowledge of all ingredients to be utilized in their area of work and knowledge of all health and sanitation practices. The successful candidate must be able to offer guests high quality service with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Job Location: The position is based at the Great Divide Lodge, which is a guest hotel, located at the summit of the famous Kicking Horse Pass in Yoho National Park. Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a kitchen work space that must be clean, tidy, well organized, and ready at all times during service.
  • Ensures all food is prepared on clean surfaces (and with clean utensils). Ensure at all time their stations are clean and kept to department standards.
  • Has knowledge and can follow all basic culinary standards, executing proper knife skills, cooking techniques, food safety procedures, culinary terms, positive dialog with guests.
  • Ensures food quality and presentation meets LLSR Culinary Department standards prior to being served. Station responsibilities must be monitored at all times.
  • Must maintain a positive, helpful and upbeat attitude towards fellow employee’s and guests. Treats guests and co-associates with courtesy and respect.
