Mountain Greeter - posted August 21st 2014

Position:                                Mountain Greeter

Employment Status:           Fulltime Seasonal – Staff accommodation is provided

Job Description:

Reporting to Mountain Greeter Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operating of the summer sightseeing lift, along with providing each guest that travels up the Gondola with a welcome and resort orientation. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Checking and scanning each and every guest ticket, ensuring that all guests have experienced the interpretive presentation.
  • Following the proper operational procedures of the gondola i.e. start-up, shutdown and assist with maintenance problems that may arise.
  • Maintaining good communication and work relationships with the lift maintenance department.
  • Ensuring that log sheets, incident reports and check sheets are filled out properly and regularly.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience through interaction and satisfaction
  • Continued commitment to high standards of service, exceeding Customer expectations
  • Assisting with lift evacuation – if necessary.
  • Maintaining clean and orderly work environment. This involves daily clean up of lift huts, surrounding areas, around lodges whenever necessary.
  • Landscaping & grounds work as required 

Job Requirements:

  • Able to deal with a broad range of people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Punctuality and reliability is essential
  • Able to work independently and be proactive in decision making and problem solving
  • Follow all LLSR policies and procedures
  • A three month probationary period applies
  • A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Strong communication skills and a second language is considered an asset
  • First Aid certification is an asset
  • Minimum Class 5 AB drivers license (or equivalent) and a clean drivers abstract (history)
  • Knowledge of the Lake Louise Ski Resort is an asset 

Work Schedule:

4 days on/3 days off

Dress Code:

Outdoor Uniform – discussed at time of interview

Housing Coordinator - posted August 19th 2014

 

Job Description:

Reporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Coordinator is responsible for the completing the day to day duties of the Housing Department and Charleston Residence.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and take accurate messages
  • Maintain an accurate filing system of room inspections, security reports, check in/out, rents, contracts
  • Department reports to Payroll as required
  • Assign task lists to security and house persons
  • Check-in/check-out staff
  • Train, manage and conduct audits on house persons
  • Ensure housing contracts are completed and signed
  • Update rental rates and housing lists daily
  • Ensure check-outs (rental rates) are recorded and forwarded to payroll
  • Record maintenance requests and post for housing maintenance
  • Address employees’ concerns related to housing
  • Help put in place new standards and policies
  • Follow up with outside renters
  • Communicate regularly with security to ensure problems/concerns are dealt with
  • Sign in guests
  • Be familiar with Residential tenancy act, LLSA housing agreement, LLSA policy manual, Parks Canada policies and the Innkeepers Act.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, the dishwasher is an integral part of our Food and Beverage team. The successful candidate will be assisting in the operation of a high volume establishment catering to an international clientele of avid recreationalists. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of dish room as well as inventory measures
  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts
  • Practice safe handling of all chemicals
  • Monitor chemical levels and dish machine temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Ensure all OH&S practices and policies are being followed
  • Report any OH&S issues to the Sous Chef

Job Requirements:

  • Highly organized & detail oriented
