Housing Coordinator - posted July 20th 2014

Position:                                Housing Coordinator

Employment Status:           Seasonal Full-time – Staff accommodation is provided

Start Date:                            To be negotiated

Job Description:

Reporting to the Housing Manager, the Housing Coordinator is responsible for the completing the day to day duties of the Housing Department and Charleston Residence. There could be an opportunity to extend the seasonal contract based on performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones and take accurate messages
  • Maintain an accurate filing system of room inspections, security reports, check in/out, rents, contracts
  • Department reports to Payroll as required
  • Assign task lists to security and house persons
  • Check-in/check-out staff
  • Train, manage and conduct audits on house persons
  • Ensure housing contracts are completed and signed
  • Update rental rates and housing lists daily
  • Ensure check-outs (rental rates) are recorded and forwarded to payroll
  • Record maintenance requests and post for housing maintenance
  • Address employees’ concerns related to housing
  • Help put in place new standards and policies
  • Follow up with outside renters
  • Communicate regularly with security to ensure problems/concerns are dealt with
  • Sign in guests
  • Be familiar with Residential tenancy act, LLSA housing agreement, LLSA policy manual, Parks Canada policies and the Innkeepers Act.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and move food, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving ability
  • Excellent conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to smile and have fun while accomplishing all required tasks is essential!

Skoki Lodge Attendant - posted July 14th 2014

Job Description:

Reporting to the Skoki Manager, the role of Skoki Lodge Attendant is to be a ‘jack of all trades’ while delivering a high quality level of service.

Job Location:

Skoki Lodge is a backcountry lodge located in the high alpine of Banff National Park. At an elevation of 7,100 feet (2,164 meters) the lodge is only accessible by hiking or skiing the 11km trail that begins at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all bedrooms and public rooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Chopping wood
  • Ensure a positive guest experience through interaction & satisfaction
  • Communicate regularly with the Skoki Manager to ensure the overall success of the establishment
  • Help to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery
  • Be readily available at all times to deal with problems or complaints.
  • Provide friendly, efficient & professional table service to our guests
  • Organize and maintain cleanliness of dish room

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to smile and have fun while accomplishing all required tasks is essential!
  • Must be in good physical shape, as position involves hiking 13 km (each way) to and from the lodge, on a fortnightly basis

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background and solid driving experience. The shuttle driver is responsible for transporting both guests and staff to the ski hill in the company’s 21-seater bus.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of company vehicle(s) adhering to the transportation policy
  • Timely and safe transportation of guests and staff
  • Accurate, timely, and organized processing of paperwork, vehicle check logs
  • Keep a clean & organized vehicle – includes daily cleaning of bus
  • Regular communication with resort while on the road

Job Description:

Reporting to the Daycare Manager, the primary responsibility of a Daycare Attendant is to ensure an enjoyable and safe stay for the children at The Lake Louise Ski Resort Daycare. The Chocolate Moose Park – Daycare at The Lake Louise Ski Resort is a licensed drop in centre serving families from all over the world. We take care of children from toddlers to school going children.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the daycare
  • Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures
  • Ensure children are supervised at all times
  • Prepare nutritious snacks and lunches
  • Develop & maintain good customer relations with families enrolling children.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate in a manner that children understand

Job Requirements:

  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with indoor and outdoor Summer painting projects as assigned
  • Complete maintenance projects that include but are not limited to painting, sanding, patching, staining & chinking
  • Prepare work-site by using power cleaning equipment, scrapers, sandpaper, etc.

  • Provide daily updates to supervisor regarding work projects

Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Wash and clean utensils and dishes, return to the kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately
  • Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas

  • Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Ordering, receiving and storage of supplies
