SUMMER Resort Projects Labourer/Operator - posted August 7th 2019

Job Description:

The Summer Resort Projects Labourer / Operator is responsible for co-producing the upgrades to the upper mountain skiways. The upper mountain skiway improvement project is the construction of a mechanically stabilized structure to create a beginner ski run from the Top of the World Express to the upper area of Sunset Terrace and Mirkwood Alley ski runs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install geo-reinforcements and geo-fabrics for earth stabilization
  • Operate earth compaction equipment – experience required
  • Provide labour to support earth moving equipment
  • Landscaping work; i.e. environmental rehabilitation, seeding and fertilizing skiway
  • Provide labour support for the installation of utilities in the skiway
  • Labour support for the staging of equipment and materials delivered by helicopter

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating backhoe and other excavating equipment
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and responsible to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting/carrying 50 lbs
  • Must be capable of working outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • first aid certification an asset
  • Mountaineering and back country travel experience preferred

Work Schedule:

4 days on / 3 days off & 3 days on / 4 days off alternating two week schedule, 12 hours/day

Dress Code:

Must have safety rated footwear, CSA approved Hard Hat, and safety vest.

Job Description:

The Daycare at The Lake Louise Ski Resort is a licensed drop in centre serving our local families and visitors from all over the world. The primary responsibility of a Daycare Attendant is to ensure an enjoyable and safe stay for the children at The Lake Louise Ski Resort Daycare. The attendant will build positive and respectful relationships with children and parents and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in the daycare
  • Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures
  • Ensure children are supervised at all times
  • Prepare nutritious snacks and lunches

Job Description:

The Server will be responsible for providing consistently high-levels of customer service to all guests by ensuring prompt service, accurate orders, and a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials. The server shall perform these duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensure that each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. Other responsibilities will include the proper setting of tables, removing used dishes and place settings, assisting with cleaning duties, accurate daily cash outs and complying with ‘Serving it right’ legislation.

The position is based at the Great Divide Lodge, which is a guest hotel, located at the summit of the famous Kicking Horse Pass in Yoho National Park. Job Description:

The main role of our janitorial staff is to ensure the safe and effective sanitation of the base lodge areas and facilities. Janitorial duties will include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal and cleaning of washrooms. The janitor will be responsible for ensuring that all required tasks are completed thoroughly, on time, and with minimal supervision. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all common areas, public spaces and washrooms were serviced and cleaned daily by performing general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, correctly sanitizing benches and countertops and garbage disposal.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms including toilets, sinks mirrors and floors
  • Replenish toilet tissue and soap as needed
  • Remove trash and recycling
  • Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner
  • Maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials and supplies
  • Restock materials and supplies as needed
