World Cup ski racing returns to Lake Louise

World Cup racing at Lake Louise

The Lake Louise Ski Area will be full of fun and fast paced action for the next two weekends as the world’s top alpine racers return for exciting World Cup ski racing. The WinterStart World Cup is the first, and only, Canadian stop on the World Cup circuit so don’t miss your chance to witness the world’s fastest skiers take on the steeps of Lake Louise.

The entertainment doesn't stop with the races! The festival area, located at the base of the mountain, will be packed with activities for the whole family with tons of giveaways, free hot chocolate, ice sculptures, and contests. The event is free to watch from the Festival Area.

New Twinned Trans Canada Highway is now complete

Driving to Lake Louise just got safer as the Trans-Canada Highway is now fully twinned right to Lake Louise. The construction crews have departed and speed restrictions have been lifted. From Banff, you can be on the top of the mountain enjoying your first run down in about an hour.

Community Ski Day - Sunday December 12, 2010

The Lake Louise Ski Area and Ski Banff Lake Louise Sunshine is giving a “big thanks” to Bow Valley locals by offering a $25 full-day lift ticket on Sunday December 12, 2010!  Residents of Exshaw, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, and Field are eligible to receive the discounted rate. Profits will go to local projects and charities that work to improve infrastructure and social programs in the Bow Valley. Please note: ID and proof of local residence will be required to receive the $25 lift ticket.

The Lodge at West Louise has been renovated!
