A Spectacular Spring Continues!

March 20: Another 9cm of fresh snow this morning giving us 82cm of new snow in the last 7 days! Forecasts are calling for continued snowfall throughout the weekend.

Mother Nature has been kind to The Lake Louise Ski Resort this month. We continue to receive both epic powder days and warm sunny days, making for perfect Spring skiing conditions.

The remainder of the season is jam packed full of awesome events. Ensure you check our events calendar to keep up-to-date with all of the latest happenings.

Western Canada Ski Cross Series - March 21-23

Evolve Ski and Snowboard Club and The Lake Louise Ski Resort are proud to host another stop on the Open Western Canadian Ski & Snowboard Cross Tour. This event is open to all athletes aged 8+, with 7 different age categories to compete in, with some awesome prizes for each age category. Races are all weekend, with an optional training day on March 21st. Timed qualifications start on Saturday, March 22nd, with heats and finals on Sunday, March 23rd.

Cost is $80/Athlete for 2 days ($110 including optional training day). Requires Alpine Club registration or sign an Alpine Canada One Event Waiver (+ $10 fee).

Volcom Stone's Peanut Butter and Rail Jam - March 22

The Peanut Butter and Rail Jam is Volcom’s amateur snowboard contest series. The event is absolutely FREE, on a first come first serve basis, and boasts tons of prizes and PB&J sandwiches! The contest runs in a jam format so there are no scheduled runs. You can hit each of the rails as many times as you want during your heat. The judges only care about tricks you pull, so you don’t need to worry about falling. Divisions for ages 15 and Under, 16-21, Girls and Open which has a $500 cash purse. Registration opens 9am at the Kokanee Kabin.

Demo Day - March 22

Come out to the final demo day of the season! Test out some great equipment from a variety ski and snowboard companies. Best of all it's free to demo everything. Companies at this demo day include: Tecnica/Blizzard, K2 Skis/Snowboards, Kaestle, Line Skis/Ride Snowboards, Stepchild, Libtech, Echelon Snowboards and Skevik Skis.

Ski Louise Stampede - March 29

The Second Annual Back on Track Ski Louise Stampede presented by Ranchman’s is set for Saturday, March 29th. Featuring 2 races with Cowboys and Cowgirls dressed in their hats, chaps, and any other Western gear they choose to wear. The first race is the Stampede Race including all of the race participants competing in a cross-style course located in the Terrain Park on Juniper Jungle. The second race is the Stampede Downhill at the  end of the day where all of the race participants battle down Easy Street to see who the ultimate Stampeder is. Note, registration for this event is limited to Canadian Rodeo Card holders.

Ski Louise Stampede After Party
After a day of racing on the mountain and chilling at the Kokanee Kabin it is time to get ready for the After Party held in the Lodge of Ten Peaks at The Lake Louise Ski Resort.  The After Party starts at 7pm and includes a full buffet dinner, a silent auction, awards from the day, and a dance party brought to you by DJ KMAC. Tickets are $49 +gst. Lake Louise bus transportation will be available for $5 each way.

WiL with special guest Shaun Verreault - April 4

Immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery of Lake Louise while listening to the one of Canada’s dynamic singer/songwriters, WiL. His music captures vivid imagery through inspiriting lyrics and catchy arrangements. WiL’s live show is a roller coaster of emotion delivered with mind bending guitar chops, powerful vocals, and impassioned story telling. WiL is most recently known for the original song ‘Roam’ as it was chosen to represent Travel Alberta’s award winning ad campaign ‘Remember to Breathe’. The show will be held in the Powder Keg Lounge at The Lake Louise Ski Resort, and is an 18+ event.  Ticket packages now on sale! Transportation from the Resort to Lake Louise is available.

GDL Stay, Play and Party Package
Now on sale is a great deal with the Great Divide Lodge, located just West of Lake Louise. For just $216 +gst, you will receive overnight stay in a Forest View Room (1 double and 1 single bed) at The Great Divide Lodge on Friday, April 4, two concert tickets to the WiL event and 2 Adult Lift Tickets.

Krowd Party - April 5

Here we go again! For the final time this season the entire Lodge of Ten Peaks will be turned into the biggest night club in the Rockies. The party will feature DJ's SLYNK, SMALLTOWN, JPOD, WAKCUTT and is hosted by ROBBIE C. If you've been to KROWD's events at The Lake Louise Ski Resort in the past then you know how massive this weekend will be. Capacity is capped, so act fast as we will sell out. Doors open at 9:30pm. Ride like a rock star, KROWD guests receive discounted Lift Tickets and special lift access on all lifts, all weekend. Plus recieve great discounts off Lake Louise accommodation. Tickets on sale now. Transportation between the Resort to Lake Louise will be availble, $10 round trip.
