HARD-RAILS, HARD-JIBBING, HARDCORE!
It's time to pull your gear out of storage and trade in pavement for snow! Lake Louise Ski Area's 8th annual Heavy Metal Rail Jam is coming up on Saturday, December 18th. Competitors will be going home with $2000 IN CASH and tons of product prizing so its time to “Turn up the good, turn down the suck!” -Fubar.
Skiers & Snowboarders are welcome to enter this event. There are categories for Juniors, Seniors (16+) and Women, so no one, one plank or two, male or female, will be left out of the prize grab. The event is in jam format to give competitors plenty of time to stomp out their tricks and show the judges who's who in the local park scene. Lake Louise’s Danielle Sherman, Event Manager, says “Our terrain park staff always do an amazing job building solid features early season making it possible for us to run this amazing event. The past couple seasons skiers have dominated in numbers so I’m hoping this year snowboarders will be back to represent!” The course is located in the early season terrain park and is made up of a combination of rails and boxes, 5 features total.
Spots are limited so pre-registration is highly recommended. Competitors can register online by clicking here or on event day in the Sitzmark Lounge, 8:30am - 10:00am. Full event details can be found by clicking here.
