Lake Louise Invests Heavily to Enhance Customer Experience

Lake Louise Ski ResortVisitors can look forward to an even greater on-hill experience in 2013/14 with improved grooming, snowmaking, enhanced amenities, a greater variety of food and beverage choices including healthier options, and much more.

Here’s a list of some of the enhancements you can enjoy at Lake Louise this season:

  • Significant improvements in Food and Beverage include:

-  A brand new Alpine Bistro style restaurant in the ski resort’s mid-mountain Whitehorn Lodge, including full-service dining in the spacious upstairs and on the outdoor deck, and features some of the most spectacular views on the mountain.

-  Changes to the historic post and beam Temple Lodge on the resort’s backside include a brand new made-to-order sandwich bar, modifications to the cafeteria to reduce lineups on busy days, new menu offerings, and a remodel/relocation of a Starbucks.

-  The Powder Keg and the Great Bear Lounges will see new and improved menus and new furniture as well.

  • Improved snowmaking and grooming (new fan guns, improvements to snowmaking infrastructure, new grooming machines, more frequent grooming, etc.).
  • Augmented Tube Park.
  • Enhanced learn to ski/snowboard kids’ and beginners’ area.
  • A new Lake Louise Ski Resort App will make it easier for guests to navigate around the four mountain faces, link up with friends on the slopes, get information about what’s happening around the area and receive notifications of various deals and programs as they’re announced.
  • Enhanced snow reporting and a new website.
  • Completely renovated locker room with a layout redesign, added change rooms, nicer lighting, and more.
  • The famous free-guided tours of the resort by the Lake Louise Ski Friends as well as the resort’s snowshoe tours will feature stronger heritage focused and educational component options.
  • Revitalized Torchlight Dinner and Ski (the ultimate après ski event, featuring a chairlift ride to mid-mountain at day’s end for appetizers and spectacular sunset views at Whitehorn Lodge followed by a private freshly-groomed run down to the base area for a full buffet dinner, live entertainment and dancing).
  • Snow School program enhancements to ensure the best possible kids’, private and groups’ lessons.
  • Enhancements to the popular ‘First Tracks’ experience, which includes transportation from Lake Louise or Banff hotels, lift access a half-hour before the mountain opens to the public and two or three hours of professional instruction.
  • More frequent availability of the ‘Bag Jump’ in the Showtime Terrain Park – designed by professional snowboarders, Hollywood stuntmen and leading engineers, the Bag Jump was introduced last season on a trial basis at the resort. It allows the safe practice of big technical tricks and the plan for 2013/14 is to bring it out even more often.
  • Restroom upgrades.
