The Summer Gondola opens for sightseeing & dining on Friday, May 17, 2013!

Don't miss your chance to see some of the most spectacular mountain scenery and wildlife in the Canadian Rockies! Wild Grizzly bears are clearly visible from the lifts almost daily. About The Lake Louise Gondola

Cruise for fourteen glorious minutes, in an open chair or a fully enclosed gondola, to one of the Banff National Park's greatest views! From 2088m (6850ft), the spectacular scenery is yours to explore at will. There are ambitious hikes to the summit of Mt. Whitehorn for the hardy, or equally lovely short, leisurely strolls for those with more modest exercise goals.

Frequent animal sightings, including grizzly bears, occur almost daily at the Lake Louise Gondola! Some of the animal you may see during your visit include; Grizzly bears, black & brown bears, cougars, lynx, mountain goats, wolves, elk, mule & whitetail deer, moose, big horn sheep, wolverines, and many others.

Programs are conducted by our Interpretive Guides who will lead you through the landscape, following in the footsteps of wildlife and early explorers. Discover the historical significance of this area and explore the natural wonders that have made this area so special in the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks, a United Nations World Heritage Site. Programs highlight environmental initiatives within Banff National Park and the adaptations both plants and animals have made to survive in this remarkable landscape.
