Winter 2012/13 Makes a Grand Entrance

Video Update for November 9, 2012Lake Louise, Alberta - The Lake Louise Ski Area is rolling out the white carpet today and kicking off the 2012/13 season. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome winter and our guests.

With above average snowfalls predicted for this season, we’re off to an impressive start – it’s been snowing on the mountain all week.

Join us today to enjoy the fresh snow and close to 1,500 feet of vertical; we have Glacier Chairlift, Bald Eagle, Wiwaxy and Easy Street open now, and we hope to open up more throughout the weekend. A limited rail park is set up too, featuring a steel log, a flat down butter box and a 24” rail.

Tickets are 50% off regular season rates and there are additional $5 savings for Louise Plus Card holders who don’t wish to use their first free ski day during reduced ticket pricing.

We’ve added to our menu of webcams this season – follow what’s happening at Canada’s Favourite Ski Area from anywhere. Skiers and snowboarders should be sure to check Facebook, Twitter and skilouise.com regularly, as we may open more terrain over the weekend.

“The season has launched,” says Proprietor Charlie Locke. “We’re excited to welcome back our returning guests and we hope many new snow sports enthusiasts will visit us as well.”
