The Lake Louise Ski Area is looking to fill 4 fulltime seasonal positions of:
Reclamation Crew
Reporting to the Environmental Manager: The role of the successful candidates will play an integral part in the overall success of the Environmental department, and Lake Louise Ski Area's commitment to sustainable recreation use by engaging in numerous environmental projects and initiatives.
Some of the requirements/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- General labor duties with a variety of tools such as picks, shovels, rakes, axe, wheel barrow and use of power tools.
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Capable of physically demanding work in difficult terrain
- Ability to follow directions
- Highly motivated, must be capable of working with a team as well as independently.
- Must have good outdoor mountain footwear (ankle height or above with good traction is required)
- May be required to operate a Quad
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license (or international equivalent) with clean driving record (abstract/traffic history report must be provided before commencement of employment)
- International driving license (obtained before arrival in Canada)
- Follow all LLSA policies and procedures
- Adhere to LLSA Grooming policy at all times
- Complete other tasks as assigned

The Lake Louise Ski Area is looking to fill the fulltime seasonal position of:
West Louise Lodge - Gas Station Attendant
Reporting to the Duty Manager, The successful candidate will be responsible for the sale of fuel and other automotive products, as well as all in-store merchandise.
There is an opportunity to continue employment for the (09/10) winter season if successful.
Some of the requirements/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Refuel vehicles
- Perform minor service and maintenance such as washing the windshield, checking air pressure, and replacing parts such as windshield-wiper blades
- Receive payment from customers & issue receipts, refunds, or change due to customers.
- Perform minor property maintenance duties such as sweeping service station lot, scrubbing service bays and cleaning of retail space and washrooms
- Answer customers' questions
- Provide accurate directions where possible
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
- Greet customers entering establishments
- Resolve customer complaints
- Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items.
- Change fuel prices on signage
- Customer service and/or retail experience preferred
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and manners
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

The Lake Louise Ski Area Ltd. is looking to fill the part-time position of:
Calgary Driver
Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will be reliable and able work in cooperation with the supervisor to assist other resort departments by traveling to Calgary 2 days per week (Mon & Thur) picking up and delivering freight and mail.
Some of the requirements/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Safe operation of company vehicle(s) adhering to the transportation policy
- Safe transportation of dangerous goods (training provided)
- Maintain security of cube van (or other) and it’s contents
- Delivery & security of external and internal mail – strictly follow established procedures
- Assist with loading & unloading freight, and on site deliveries
- Ensure timely & accurate pick up & delivery of all freight – follow established procedures
- Accurate, timely, and organized processing of paperwork
- Keep a clean & organized parts truck – includes daily cleaning of cab & box
- Note: all vehicles are non smoking
- Regular communication with resort while on the road
- Assist in ensuring all recycling is regularly removed to the appropriate station
- High quality, friendly, and cooperative relationship with all departments
- Clean class 5 driver’s license
- Interest and enthusiasm
- A friendly and professional manner

- Good physical condition as this position requires some heavy lifting

Security Officer
Reporting to: The Housing Manager
Objective: To maintain a safe and secure atmosphere in all Lake Louise Ski Area properties including the resort and staff accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting security patrols of Lake Louise Ski Area properties
- Enforce “conditions of residence” as outlined in rental contracts
- Liaison with local law enforcement and emergency service agencies
- Respond to complaints and conduct investigations
- Provide assistance and or information to employees and the general public
- Complete the required nightly security incident reports
- All other related duties as required by the Security Supervisor or Management
- Canadian or International driver’s license & clean driving abstract/record
- Prior security/law enforcement experience
- Ability to enforce rules, without being influenced by friends/work colleagues
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Adhere to all appearance & uniform policies
- First aid, CPR, self defense and mediation skills preferred

Ski Patrol - Spring Hiring Clinic
The Snow Safety Department at the Lake Louise Ski Area is holding a spring hiring clinic for SKI PATROL positions for the 2009 - 2010, winter season.
If you are an expert skier with superior customer service skills, and have a passion for working in the beautiful mountains of Banff National Park, then come out for our hiring clinic on Saturday, April 25th, 2009. The session will include an interview, skiing ability assessment, and other typical patrol duties.
Requirements for the position include
- Expert skiing ability
- 80+ hour advanced first aid course certification (by October 31st, 2009)
Also recommended are:
- Previous patrol experience
- Canadian Avalanche Association Level 1
- Mountaineering / backcountry travel experienc
- Knowledge of LLSA

Summer Mountain Greeter
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operating of the summer sightseeing lift, along with providing each guest that travels up the lift with a welcome and resort orientation. This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions. There is an opportunity to continue employment for the (09/10) winter season if successful.
Some of the requirements/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Ticket checking
- Positive attitude coupled with friendly polite service
- Excellent guest service skills
- Responsible for meeting and greeting each guest that travels on the lift
- Responsible for ensuring and maintaining a high standard of safety
- Provide safe transportation of our guests and staff
- Landscaping & grounds work as required
- Assist with support to Skoki Lodge
- Other duties as may be required
