The Lake Louise Ski Area knows that Australia has more to it than baby eating dingos, boomerangs and vegemite. Why? Australia also has able bodied & sharp minded young patriots who do not forget how to party on Australia Day! Lake Louise Ski Area would like to say thanks and ‘good on ya’ to the fine imports that hold our ski town together by holding a HUGE Australia Day Party.
The festivities will be centered around the Kokanee Kabin at the base of the mountain where the amber fluid will be flowing like the Murray River. There will be plenty of Australian themed activities to take part in and heaps of Aussie treats to be won. Start the day with a lap of Glacier Chair to show off you finest fashion in the Green & Gold Run, grab a friend and enter the Jumping Joey Sack Race, prove your skills in the Sumo Suit AFL Competition, put in the hard yakka and eat a Weetbix the quickest and show us your True Blue Aussie Style in the Best Dressed Competition. We invite you to grab yourself an Aussie beer, some grub and say “G’ Day Mate”!
We will also have the Calgary Kangaroos Australian Rules Football Club helping us out on the day, so come and say hi to the boys.
