Ski clubs from all over Southern Alberta participate in Lake Louise Ski Club’s annual Doug Meyers race. The event includes two races held over the weekend. One race is specifically set for athletes registered in E2 programs that ski 50+ days per season (e.g., Lake Louise KD program), and the other race is specifically set for E1 programs that ski approximately 20 days per season (e.g., Lake Louise Nancy Greene 21-day program). The race is an opportunity to celebrate the memory of Doug and showcase our club as a leader in sportsmanship, fun and fair play and the spirit Doug and his family have nurtured throughout the years within the Lake Louise Ski Club.
