WinterStart World Cup Downhill - Men

Lake Louise Winterstart World CupLake Louise welcomes the world’s top alpine skiers for the inaugural event of the speed season.  The WinterStart World Cup is the first, and only, Canadian stop on the World Cup circuit so don’t miss your chance to witness the world’s fastest take on the steeps of Lake Louise.

The entertainment doesn’t stop with the races! The festival area, located at the base of the mountain, will be packed with activities for the whole family.  Inside the festival area there will be tons of giveaways, free hot chocolate, ice sculptures, and contests. You will also be able to view the finish area and cheer on the World Cup athletes as they cross the finish line!

Location: Men’s Downhill course & festival area
Time: 11:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: Free access to the festival area

 

Schedule of Events

The Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup Festival Area is filled with fun and family activities. The festival area is open all weekend from 11:00am to 4:00pm and is free to enter.  It’s in your own backyard so don't miss out the action!

Kids Ski Free during the Lake Louise Winterstart World Cup

Kids ZoneGet 2 FREE Child Lift Tickets with the purchase of an Adult Lift Ticket during the World Cup at Lake Louise by saying the cheer “Go Canada Go” at the ticket counter!

  • 2 FREE child Lift Tickets (up to 12 years of age) with the purchase of an Adult Lift Ticket

New Kids Zone

This year’s World Cup events includes a designated “Kids Zone” cheering section where kids get FREE hot chocolate and cool temporary tattoos! Don’t forget to bring their flags and noise makers!
