Winter Wildlife Snowshoe Tour

Perfect for anyone who wants to explore the peace and stillness of the winter forest! Join our enthusiastic and certified guides on this tour as you escape the crowds and learn how animals and plants deal with the long, hard winters in the Canadian Rockies.

Tour Details

  • Difficulty: Easy (This tour explores a route close to the base area of the resort near the ski-out).
  • Price $55 +GST.
  • Tour is approximately 1.5hrs.
  • Departing daily at 10:00am, 12:00pm and 3:30pm.
  • Meet with your snowshoe guide at the guides cabin in-front of Lodge of the Ten Peaks 30 minutes before departure to collect rental equipment.

The price of this tour includes a guide, snowshoe rental and hot chocolate.

Note: Guests are required to wear warm winter gear. We suggest a winter jacket, snow pants, gloves, winter footwear, warm socks, and a toque or balaclava. In addition, snow goggles are great for sun glare and windier days. Our Rental Shop can fit you with a winter jacket and pants (optional) or you can purchase top brand winter gear from our Alpine Sports Boutique. A light backpack is also a good idea to carry your camera, water and snacks.

Note: Rates shown above do not include tax (5%GST). Pricing subject to change without notice. This snowshoe tour is conducted within the ski resort boundary and only within avalanche controlled terrain. Children must be 8 years or older to participate.

How to Book a Tour

Reservations are required up to 30 minutes in advance of the tour. To make a reservation please drop by our Guides Cabin (located between Lodge of Ten Peaks and Whisky Jack Lodge). You can also email us at guides@skilouise.com, or call 1-403-522-1385.

Cancellation Policy

Payment is required at the time of booking and reservations are recommended due to limited spaces. Changes to reservations can be made up to 48 hours before the departure time based on availability. Within 48 hours of the snowshoeing time, refunds will not be issued. As Snowshoeing is a winter sport, there will be no refunds for extreme weather conditions.
