Job Description:

The role of a Support Crew member is integral for the overall success of The Lake Louise Ski Resort.  The Support Crew is comprised of a flexible team that will perform a variety of job duties and provide assistance as they rotate between various departments. Some of the positions that this team will be assisting with would include; Buffet Attendant, Dishwasher/Kitchen helper, Mountain Greeter and working at our Great Divide Lodge performing Housekeeping and painting duties.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Buffet Attendant:

  • Ensure the buffet is constantly monitored and maintained
  • Ensure cleanliness & maintenance of all lodge areas at all times including restrooms
  • Table maintenance - setting, bussing etc

 

Dishwasher/Cooks Helper:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all cookware, flatware, small wares, glassware, and cutlery
  • Ensure proper use of chemical/cleaning products and ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food, as required

 

Summer Lift Operator:

  • Following the proper operational procedures of the gondola i.e. start-up, shutdown and assist with maintenance problems that may arise.
  • Ensuring that log sheets, incident reports and check sheets are filled out properly and regularly.
  • Assisting guests when loading and offloading the gondola, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining clean and orderly work environment. This involves daily clean up of lift huts, surrounding areas, around lodges whenever necessary.

 

Housekeeping & upkeep (Great Divide Lodge):

  • Ensure that all bedrooms, common areas and public washrooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Packs and replenishes trolleys to the required standard at the end of each shift, therefore minimizing lost time at the start of each shift.

 

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Self motivated, can work well in a team as well as independently

  • Previous cash-handling experience an asset

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be required to maintain safe and efficient parking lot operations while providing our guests with fast access to resort facilities.  A high level of customer service is required. In addition to this, they will assist other mountain operations teams with the upkeep of the grounds, inclluding mowing, garden work, hedge and tree trimming.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct traffic and assist in finding parking spots/ assist in reserved parking area, RV parking area
  • Attending to customer drop-off area; greeting and assisting/directing guests
  • Parking lot and lodge decks to be monitored; cleaned, swept and clear of garbage as needed throughout the day
  • Stations to be checked and stocked for maps, tissues, garbage
  • Parking lot attendant keeps an eye out for lights left on, keys locked in car, vehicle maintenance problems, assists guests in getting help

Job Description:

The Go International Volunteer Program Team Leader will be responsible for communicating between Program Volunteers and internal and external stakeholders. The Team Leader will ensure that all LLSR OHS and Employee policies are upheld by the Volunteers and will supervise and work with the Volunteers to ensure all tasks assigned are completed in a timely manner. Ron Allen will be the primary contact between the program partners and will prioritize and assign tasks from the program partners and ski area to the Team Leader (TL).

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Carry out a monthly schedule cycle: Each month there is a cycle of “learn, do, connect, celebrate!” projects, activities and a new group of up to 2-5 volunteersImplement assigned activities and encourage teamwork within international volunteer groups through motivation, while also building rapport with LLSR staff, PC staff, LLSRC staff, leadership volunteers and other groups/visitorsRecord daily activities and time spent with which partner and prepare Weekly Reports for the program managers (the Weekly Report will consist of highlights, challenges,suggestions for improvement, and plans for the upcoming week)
  • Prepare Monthly Reports and an End of Program Final Report.
  • Organize and manage required equipment for each volunteer activity (The Go International Volunteer program is dynamic, and the TL should expect sudden changes to proposed plans and schedules. However, the LLSR managers and TL will co-develop a list of contingencies to be utilized when this occurs.
  • Responsible for the overall safety of volunteers, staff and visitors.
  • Ensure volunteers are fulfilling their requirements, coach and set expectations while on duty (e.g. wearing uniforms) and off duty (such as when they are at the accommodation, doing their chores and keeping the accommodation clean)

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. An understanding of its management plan, geography, visitor and volunteer activities is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license along with a 3-year Claims Experience Letter and a driver’s abstract or equivalent (this must be acceptable to both the LLSR and LLSRC and their insurance company). Note!International licenses also require the 3-year claims experience letter. The ease of obtaining this can depend on your insurer back home, some can take quite a while to process. This must be provided at the time of interview.
  • A Police Background Check from your home country or province will be required upon commencement of employment.

Work Schedule:

The Team Leader position is a salaried position with 5 Days On-8 hours per day / 2 Days Off usually Saturday and Sunday. Schedule needs to be flexible at times in order to meet volunteers at different times of bus arrivals and to accommodate partner special events as approved by the LLSR managers.

Job Description:

Will responsible for a wide variety of administrative office duties in support of the operation of The Great Divide Lodge. Such duties include but are not limited to guest and employee check in/checkout procedures, registering guests, updating/maintaining employee related files, taking payments, ensuring each employee adheres to the LLSR housing agreement and serving in the bar/restaurant when help is needed. The Front Desk Agent must strive to provide exceptional customer service and a positive guest and employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all bedrooms, common areas and public washrooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Liaise with Duty Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor, and notify them of areas in need of attention pertaining to repairs and maintenance.

The Server will be responsible for providing consistently high-levels of customer service to all guests by ensuring prompt service, accurate orders, and a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials. The server shall perform these duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensure that each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. Other responsibilities will include the proper setting of tables, removing used dishes and place settings, assisting with cleaning duties, accurate daily cash outs and complying with ‘Serving it right’ legislation.

The position is based at the Great Divide Lodge, which is a guest hotel, located at the summit of the famous Kicking Horse Pass in Yoho National Park. Job Description:

Reporting to the Skoki Manager, the role of Skoki Lodge Attendant is to be a ‘jack of all trades’ while delivering a high quality level of service.

Job Location:

Skoki Lodge is a backcountry lodge located in the high alpine of Banff National Park. At an elevation of 7,100 feet (2,164 meters) the lodge is only accessible by hiking or skiing the 11km trail that begins at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all bedrooms and public rooms are serviced and cleaned daily by performing general housekeeping duties including; dusting, vacuuming, changing linens and emptying garbage and recycling etc.
  • Chopping wood

  • Communicate regularly with the Skoki Manager to ensure the overall success of the establishment

The Chef will oversee all kitchen staff and ensure the quality of food preparation and service meets and exceeds operating standards on a daily basis. The position requires a proven leader with exceptional culinary skills and the ability to supervise and provide direction to others. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining all kitchen inventories and adhering to sanitation standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, season and cook food according to dietary requirements
  • Create and execute contemporary plate presentations
  • Ensure cleanliness & maintenance of lodge & equipment at all times
  • Assist with daily/weekly/monthly operating budgets
  • Meet or exceed inventory & cost control targets
  • Study menus to estimate food requirements and obtain the necessary food from storage or from suppliers
