Experience Lake Louise Booking Agent - posted March 27th 2015

Position:                                Experience Lake Louise Booking Agent

Employment Status:           Full Time Seasonal – Staff accommodation is provided

Employment Period:          May 1, 2015  – October 15, 2015

Rate of Pay:                          $11.50 / hour


Job Description:

Reporting to the Experience Lake Louise Store Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional and efficient service to our guests regarding ticket sales and general information about the resort and surrounding area.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ticket selling (including cash/debit/credit transactions and cash out procedures)
  • Retail selling (including cash/debit/credit transactions and cash out procedures)
  • Accommodation & Activity booking – working between customers and 3rd party vendors to book excursions and accommodations
  • Telephones - includes operating the main resort switchboard, radio/fax/email communications for Experience Lake Louise in relation to ski resort sales and 3rd party bookings
  • Cleaning of all Experience Lake Louise areas


Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Dealing in a professional manner with customer enquiries, complaints and comments
  • Continued commitment to high standards of service, exceeding Customer expectations and leading by example
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Strong knowledge of the Lake Louise Resort and surrounding area an asset
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Switchboard experience an asset
  • Strong, professional phone manner

Accounting Clerk - posted March 22nd 2015

Position:                                Accounting Clerk

Employment Status:           Full Time Seasonal – Staff accommodation is provided

Rate of Pay:                          $12.46 / hour

Job Description:

Reporting to theAccounting Supervisor, the accounting clerk assists the accounting department with day-to-day activities including floats, outlet cash outs, balance sheets and data input.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit daily from all departments, making sure that final figures are correct, noting errors and the causes of any miscalculations.
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and expense forms
  • Performs related clerical duties, such as data entry, creating sales reports, word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing and photocopying.
  • Prepare and issue change orders and petty cash, and floats
  • Balance and reconcile daily sales
  • Compile liquor inventory counts and produce reports
  • Issuing of ticket stock
  • Research credit card charge backs

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability is essential
  • Regularly communicate with your peers & supervisors to ensure the overall success of the department
  • Accounting knowledge considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and POS systems
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail

Team Coordinator - posted March 14th 2015

Position:                                Team Coordinator - Canadian/International Volunteer Program

Employment Status:          Seasonal Full-time – Staff accommodation provided

Start Date:                            Early May – Mid October

Job Description:

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, The Team Coordinator (TC) is to coordinate and implement the International Volunteer Program and also help monitor assigned Lake Louise Ski Resort (LLSR) projects.  The successful candidate will work directly with LLSR and Parks Canada staff mainly out of the LLSR Operations Office and Mountain Office. They will help train, supervise, transport, and work directly with 4 groups of 5 international volunteers (group changes every month).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a monthly schedule cycle: Each month there is a cycle of “learn, do, connect, celebrate!” projects, activities and a new group of 5 volunteers
  • Organize and lead international volunteer groups
  • Coordinate, motivate, and encourage teamwork, build rapport with LLSR staff, Parks Canada staff, leadership volunteers and other groups/visitors
  • Weekly meetings with the Environmental Manager and Leader of Volunteer Engagement to report, share highlights and challenges, make suggestions and plan for the upcoming week
  • Organize and manage required equipment for each volunteer activity
  • Responsible for the overall safety of volunteers, staff, visitors and the park
  • Ensure volunteers are fulfilling their requirements, coach and set expectations while on duty (e.g. wearing uniforms) and off duty (such as when they are at the accommodation, doing their chores)
  • Mentor the volunteers on getting involved in the community and pairing up with a local youth or other local volunteer in addition to their official volunteer duties

Job Requirements:

  • Strong Interpersonal, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Banff National Park and its management plan, geography, visitor and volunteer activities is an asset
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Capable of physically demanding work in difficult terrain for long periods (hiking/laboring)
  • Self motivated, can work well in a team as well as independently
  • Must have good outdoor mountain footwear (ankle height or above with good traction is required)
  • Commitment to the goals and values of LLSR and Parks Canada
  • Must abide by all LLSR policies and guidelines


  • Drivers License valid in Canada (Class 5 minimum equivalent, clean driving record
  • Clean criminal record (police background check required at interview)
  • Must have minimum Standard First Aid (Wilderness First Aid is preferred)
