Position:                                Housing Coordinator

Employment Status:           Full-Time Seasonal – Staff accommodation is available

Employment Period:          ASAP - Winter Position Available 

Reports To:                           Housing Assistant Manager and Manager

Job Description:

The Housing Coordinator is responsible a wide variety of administrative office duties in support of the Housing Department and Charleston Residence. Such duties include but are not limited to employee check in/checkout procedures, registering guests, updating/maintaining employee related files, taking payments and ensuring each employee adheres to the LLSR housing agreement. The coordinator must strive to provide exceptional customer service and a positive employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process all Housing Applications and follow up with applicants in a timely manner
  • Check in residents and review all material, explain Tenancy Agreement, provide information on site and facilities, take damage deposit payment, provide keys
  • Process payments, accurately record check in dates, transfers, and rental rates for Payroll
  • Monitor and update the Housing database on a continual basis, attention to detail is required
  • Checking emails daily, responding in a timely fashion, and forwarding emails to the appropriate individuals as required
  • Assist residents with questions and provide assistance
  • Excellent communication and tenant relations skills, the ability to be impartial and professional when dealing with tenants
  • Provide effective and fair resolutions to tenants and communicate with Housing Management when dealing with difficult situations
  • Weekly residential inspections to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of units, record any maintenance issues
  • Effective communication with Housing Maintenance regarding any maintenance issues, prioritizing issues which must be dealt with immediately, following up to ensure maintenance has been completed
  • Continuous communication with Housing Management regarding daily operations
  • Daily cash balancing, data entry, processing payments for gym memberships and Wi-Fi internet purchases
  • Daily errands including driving to the ski hill to drop off cash outs, pick up supplies from the Parts department as required, drop off laundry, pick up mail, etc.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned, including assisting other sub departments of Housing

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Flexibility with scheduled shifts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills
  • Ability to balance the needs of, staff, maintenance, tenants, and outside interests
  • Strong initiative with the ability to take responsibility for work unsupervised
  • A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment
  • A valid Alberta or International drivers license and a clean driving abstract are an absolute must for this position.

Work Schedule:

4 Days On / 3 Days Off

Dress Code:

Uniform shirt provided at cost, black pants in accordance with appearance standards
