Visit both Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in the same day! Join our interpretive guides who will share stories of the lakes’ natural and cultural history, and help you get the best photos!
The Details
Meet the guides at the Guides’ Cabin at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. The Guides’ Cabin is located between the Lodge of Ten Peaks and Whiskyjack Lodge
The guides will escort you to your shuttle to Lake Louise, sharing stories of the railway and early explorers along the drive to the lake. From the shuttle drop-off, the guides will escort you to Lake Louise where you will take a short, easy walk along the lake shore (we know where the best family photo spots are!) and explain why the glacial lakes are so stunningly blue!
The guides will escort you back to the shuttle bus to continue your journey to Moraine Lake. The guides will share stories of the people who climbed these peaks while they guide you up the uphill, but short, Rockpile Trail to the best views of Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Once back at the lake shore, you will have about 45 minutes on your own to take more photos or grab a coffee or buy souvenirs at Moraine Lake Lodge.
With photos taken and new adventurous stories to share, you will board the shuttle with your guides for the 30 minute drive back to the Lake Louise Ski Resort.
Schedule
- 8:00am: Meet at Guides Cabin & load shuttle
- 8:30am: Departure from Lake Louise Summer Gondola
- 9:00am: Guided Lake Tours - Lake Louise followed by Moraine Lake
- 11:15am: Free time at Moraine Lake
- 12:00pm: Departure from Moraine Lake
- 12:30pm: Return to Lake Louise Summer Gondola

Additional Information
We recommend wearing a hat, sunglasses, and closed-toed, sturdy shoes. Mountain weather can change quickly, so consider bringing a rain jacket and a small backpack for your camera, water, and snacks.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
