What’s New For 2021/22

Juniper Express Chair and Runs

Article updated on February 3, 2022.

We’re looking forward to another incredible season and even more Lake Louise to love. This year we are adding new terrain, another new chairlift, new glades, and facility enhancements that continue to come to life as part of our ongoing Long Range Plan.

New high-speed quad chairlift and more runs!

The Juniper Express Chair, our third base area lift, is an important addition to get you up the mountain, and on the slopes faster. Construction on the lift is now complete (as of February 3, 2022) . The chair’s base is located near the Whiskey Jack Lodge and takes guests to the junction of the Men’s Downhill, Juniper Jungle, and West Bowl egress runs. At the top, this chair comfortably situates guests at the start of five Juniper area blue runs (four new) as well as the Easy Street green run. We shaped the new terrain to maximize its appeal to the learner and intermediate skiers and riders. Beginners and intermediates have a new place to continue honing their skills as they progress from the Learning Area carpets before moving to the upper mountain runs.  More experienced skiers and riders might like to lap the new chair for some cruisy groomer warm-up laps. Snowmaking infrastructure has also been installed to provide reliable early-season access to this new area for future seasons.

The new Juniper Express Quad and Lower Juniper runs and the new are exciting enhancements to the overall skiing and snowboarding experience at Lake Louise, and we can’t wait for you to experience them for yourself!
