A Truly Deep December Breaks 75-Year Snowfall Records at Lake Louise

This December will go down in the record books! We’ve surpassed our highest year-to-date snowfall record and shattered the December snowfall record, both set 75 years ago during the 1950/51 season.

The numbers say it all: 16 cm overnight, 72 cm over the past seven days, 307 cm so far this December, and an incredible 504 cm this season.

Pair the record-breaking snow conditions with the recent opening of Richardson’s Ridge, and you've got one of the most exciting winter seasons we have ever seen. Right now, all lifts are spinning, 152 runs are open, three terrain parks are ready to ride, and the tube park is open, giving everyone endless ways to enjoy the snow.

🎄 From all of us at Lake Louise, happy holidays. We wish you a joyful season and many powder-filled days ahead.
