Got Freeride Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

Below you’ll find helpful answers to the most common questions about our Adult Freeride Program.

Our Adult Freeride lessons take place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM every Friday in February, running for four weeks.

  • If you’re running late, just email us at ski.school@skilouise.com so we don’t keep the group waiting.
  • We’ll always do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but once the instructor has left the Base Area, we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to connect you with them.

Meet your instructor and group at the Meeting Place in the base area, located at the large wooden tower between the Lodge of Ten Peaks and the Grizzly Gondola.

If you know you’ll miss a lesson, please send an email to ski.school@skilouise.com with:

  • Your name
  • The day you’ll miss
  • Your instructor’s name

We’ll make sure your instructor knows so they don’t wait for you.

The fun doesn’t have to stop once the program ends! If you’ve enjoyed your lessons, we offer Private Lessons where you can keep learning with your instructor and friends.

Pro Tip: book your private lesson in the afternoon to activate your Plus+Card or Season Pass discount!

Gratuities are never expected, but always appreciated. If your instructor has made your experience special, a positive review or tip is a great way to say thanks. Our Snow School Reservations Team can help if you’d like to show your appreciation.

Registration

You can register for the Adult Freeride Program online here.

If you're visiting the resort, stop by the Snow School office and one of our Reservations Agents would be happy to assist in booking you in.

Alternatively, give our Reservations Team a call at 1 (403) 522-1333 or email us at ski.school@skilouise.com.

If your preferred day or ability level isn’t available online, don’t worry! Give our Reservations Team a call at 1 (403) 522-1333 or send us an email at ski.school@skilouise.com to inquire about additional availability or get added to the waitlist.

Unless otherwise stated, lift tickets and rental equipment are not included in the program price. However, we offer discounted lift tickets and rental equipment when booking your lesson online or with our Reservations Team. Consider purchasing a Season Pass or Plus+Card for additional discounts and perks!

We group lessons based on both ability and age to create the best learning experience for everyone. Make sure to choose the correct ability level when registering. If you’re unsure, check out the level descriptions or reach out to our Reservations Team for guidance.

We’ll assess all participants during the first week to ensure everyone is grouped correctly. If you have any concerns about your group, just talk to your instructor—they’ll do their best to accommodate any special requests!

If you are looking to work with a specific instructor, please make a note of this request upon registration. While we will try our best to accommodate your request, it is not guaranteed.

For multi-week programs:

  • You can receive a full refund (minus a $25 non-refundable booking fee) if you cancel 7+ days before the program begins.
  • Once the program starts, missed or individual lessons are non-refundable.
  • Unfortunately, we don’t offer refunds for adverse weather conditions.

Your safety is our top priority! In adverse weather, we’ll mix shorter periods of skiing/snowboarding with indoor activities and regular breaks at our mid-mountain warm-up zones to keep everyone comfortable and engaged.

  • Dress in layers (thermal long underwear, ski socks, mittens, toque, and a face mask).
  • Hand and toe warmers are recommended, and you can pick them up in our Retail Store.

For further information, please review our cold weather guidelines and check the Conditions Page for the latest updates.
