Your Intro to Park questions, answered!
Below you’ll find helpful answers to the most common questions about our Adult Intro to Park Program.
Our Intro to Park lessons take place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM every Friday in February, running for four weeks.
If you're running a little late, please send us a quick email at ski.school@skilouise.com so we don’t keep the group waiting. We’ll always try to help you catch up, but once the group has left the Base Area, we may not be able to connect you with your instructor.
Meet your instructor and group at the Meeting Place in the base area, located at the large wooden tower between the Lodge of Ten Peaks and the Grizzly Gondola.
If you can’t make it to a lesson, no worries! Just email ski.school@skilouise.com with your name, the date of your lesson, and your instructor’s name. We’ll make sure your instructor knows so they don’t wait for you.
Absolutely! The fun doesn’t have to end after your program has finished. Our Snow School offers lessons through the spring, so if you’d like to continue on with your progress, you can book Private Lessons with your instructor and your friends! Please note Private Lessons are for a maximum for 5 people.
Pro Tip: book in the afternoon to use your Plus+Card or Seasons Pass for a discount!
Gratuities are never expected, but always appreciated! If you’ve had a great experience and your instructor helped you discover a love for doing rad tricks in the terrain park, a tip or a positive review means a lot to us. If you'd like to show appreciation, our Snow School Reservations Team can help with the process.

This program is designed for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders who are looking to improve their skills in the terrain park. During the first week of the program, we’ll assess your skills to ensure you're in the right group based on your ability. If you have any concerns, just talk to your instructor—they’re here to help and will do their best to accommodate you.
Yes, you can! Please make note of your preference upon registration. We’ll do our best to match you with your requested instructor, although it will depend on availability.
We understand that life happens sometimes! For multi-week programs, we offer refunds for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the program start date, minus a $25 non-refundable booking fee. Since the program is sold as a package, individual or missed lessons are not refundable, and there is no option to switch days once the program has started.
Please note that adverse weather conditions do not qualify for refunds, as skiing and snowboarding are outdoor activities.
Your safety is always our top priority. In the event of adverse weather, we will adjust the program with shorter outdoor sessions and regular breaks at our mid-mountain warm-up zones. Additionally, we will offer a variety of indoor activities to keep everyone engaged. Our instructors are well trained to manage exposure to cold weather and recognize frostnip.
Please remember to dress warmly in layers (thermal long underwear, proper ski socks, mittens, face mask, toque) and bring plenty of hand and toe warmers. If you have forgotten any of the above, check out our Retail Store for a variety of winter gear. For further information, please review our cold weather guidelines and check the Conditions Page for the latest updates.
